Tucker Heintz

The Friendship Paddle 2014

The 2014 Friendship Paddle Beneficiary is Tucker Heintz. Tucker, 40, is a long-time local restaurant manager and avid surfer. Tucker is a true waterman, having grown up surfing in Malibu near Latigo before ultimately moving to Santa Barbara before the 7th grade. Just three months ago in mid-May, Tucker was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Tucker is fighting for his life and needs our help.

Over the years, Tucker has worked at some of our favorite watering holes like Endless Summer, Chuck’s Waterfront and BrewHouse, where he was manager for 8 years. Recently Tucker got his dream job at a local Tech startup. Due to his current challenge, he has had to put that on hold.

Tucker is known as a person who puts other people’s needs first, someone who will bend over backwards for you. He has a huge community of friends and people that he has touched and helped. He is a man of great compassion, humor and is even a minister and has married several couples.

While a single man, Uncle Tuck is a huge role model and father figure for several nieces and a nephew. Many of his friends and former employees look to him as a big brother as well.

His passion for the water and commitment to his community and friends make him a natural fit for The Friendship Paddle and with his many friends, Tucker and his family with not be fighting alone.
